This project created an RFP with the purpose of identifying and engaging a partner for parts of the Foundation Design and the Hardware Asset Management phases only. This RFP provided for a vendor partner collaborating WashU to build foundational CMDB and Asset record structure, enhance ServiceNow Discovery, implement HAM Pro in ServiceNow, build prescriptive workflows, and implement basic automation to support Hardware Asset Management. The scope was not limited to ServiceNow technical work and included integrating disparate data sources into ServiceNow (including Workday for HCM and Financial data), prescribing HAM best practices for program management and procedures, and preparing a foundation that will later incorporate SAM, ITOM, and other functions.

The RFP was created in collaboration with internal stakeholders and with Vendor Management. The intent of the RFP was to create a systematic method for selected respondents to provide their proposed solutions fairly and equitably. The contract was awarded based solely on the merit of their proposal and without prejudice.
